Random Spots

Parent Previous Next

The Random Spots creation modality allows you to create new spot events from already existing spot events or in a completely random way.

The left panel appears as follows:

Then, on the right part, you can select one among two events generation modalities (which are illustrated in the next figure):

A)        Insert spots randomly distributed over the trace: in this way spots are randomly distributed over the trace. You can select how many spots should be inserted (the Count parameter). In the next figure, case A, 7 events are randomly generated;

B)        Clone a percentage of spots: in this case you can copy just a fraction of a certain class of spots (the Percentage parameter) which can be selected from the Source events list. Additionally, some (random) jittering can be introduced in a user defined range (From and To parameters, expressed in milliseconds). In the following figure, case B can be obtained by setting to 40% and off the percentage and jittering parameters. In the same figure, the case C can be obtained by also enabling the jittering option and setting the from and to parameters to values greater than 0.
