The State Splitter creation modality allows you to create new state events from already existing states.
The left panel appears as follows:
You have to select the (source) events types to be processed from the list (you may select several types simultaneously).
Then, on the right part, you can select one among two events generation modalities (which are illustrated in the next figure):
A) Divide in n parts: each state instance of the selected types will be divided into n parts. Next figure, case A, shows an example with n = 2;
B) Window: each state instance of the selected types will be divided into windows of the same size (the Size parameter) discarding the first part of the event (the Offset parameter) and operlapping the windows of a certain amount (the Ovelap) parameter. In the following figure, in case B the offset parameter is greater than zero, while the overlap is zero, whereas in case C the offset parameter in zero while the overlap is about 35%.
